Lesley Waterfield

Lesley leads training at UK Microsuction and is one of the company's three directors. She began her career in nursing, qualifying as an Enrolled Nurse (General) at North Lothian College of Nursing and Midwifery, before moving into emergency care. She went on to earn a first-class BSc (Hons) as an Emergency Care Practitioner at the University of Derby.

For almost seven years she worked in clinical education and development at East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust, helping paramedics hone their craft. She later worked as an Emergency Care Practitioner in general practice, as a PCN paramedic with Our Health Partnership from 2021 to 2022, and as an Ambulatory Emergency Care Practitioner at Solihull Hospital, part of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. She is an HCPC registered, retired paramedic and no longer practises as a paramedic.

She now runs UK Microsuction full-time and still treats patients in our Rugeley clinic, so the techniques she teaches are the ones she uses every week. With a small cohort she soon gets to know how you work.
