Who we are
This site is operated by UK Microsuction Limited, registered in England & Wales (company number 14296262), at Unit 1a Tuppenhurst Lane, Handsacre, Rugeley, Staffordshire WS15 4EH. We're the data controller for the information described on this page.

What we collect
We only collect information for a clear reason.
If you book an appointment
- Your name, date of birth, address, phone number and email.
- Relevant medical history, past ear surgery, infections, hearing aids, medication.
- A clinical record of what we saw and what we did during your appointment, including before/after video stills where helpful.
If you fill in the contact form
- Your name, email and the message you sent us.
If you sign up to our training course or clinic network
- Your name, business address, professional registration details, and payment information processed by GoCardless.
When you simply browse the site
- A few cookies that make the site work properly. See our cookies page for the details.
Why we hold it
- To deliver care safely. Clinical records are a regulatory requirement and let us give you continuity of care.
- To reply to your questions. If you write to us, we hold your message long enough to respond.
- To run our business. Booking, billing, tax records.
- To improve the website. Aggregate, anonymous analytics about which pages people visit, via Google Analytics, only after you've accepted the cookies notice. We don't track individuals.
Who sees it
Your information stays with the three of us, Debbie, Lesley and Paul, and the regulated systems we use to run the clinic. We never sell your data and we never share it with marketing companies.
We do use a small number of trusted suppliers who process data on our behalf:
- Timely, appointment booking and clinical notes.
- BookWhen, training course bookings.
- GoCardless, direct debit payments for clinic-network subscriptions.
- Google Maps, the map embedded on our pages.
- Google Analytics 4, anonymous usage analytics, only loaded after you accept the cookies notice. IP addresses anonymised.
Each is contractually required to handle your data in line with UK GDPR. We don't transfer personal data outside the UK or EEA unless that supplier is covered by an adequacy decision or equivalent safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Clinical records: at least 8 years after your last appointment (NHS retention standard).
- Contact form messages: up to 2 years.
- Finance records: 7 years (HMRC requirement).
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- See a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your information where we no longer need it (clinical records have their own retention rules).
- Stop us using your information for a particular purpose.
